Night Time Care
We all know that a good night’s sleep is essential for our everyday wellbeing and for the more vulnerable, an unsettled night can lead to greater care requirements throughout the day.
With this in mind, care and support throughout the night in the form of a night care service can be equally as important as providing care throughout the day
How can we help you?
By offering two levels of night care services; Waking Night and Sleeping Night, KEMKARE can ensure that the night time hours for you or a loved one pass with comfort and confidence.
By providing experienced Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants or Nurses to support you throughout the night, we can ensure that you feel relaxed and assured that you are not on your own during the time you feel most vulnerable.
Our healthcare professionals can be there throughout the night to ensure that if you need assistance you are able to move about the house with safety, or alternatively, just be there for the reassurance that if you wake in the night you are not on your own.
We can support with positive night time routines such as bathing, domestic tasks like changing bedding and ensuring there are clean and suitable night clothes available. Evening drinks and meals can be prepared so that in the night the need to move around the house is less and our Carers and Nurses can take way the anxiety of toileting alone.
Our service can be provided on a long or short term basis and can be delivered at intervals to suit your convenience. So, whether your family would benefit from some respite, you are recovering from a period of illness or you require short term holiday cover, we can adapt our service to meet your individual requirements.

Sleeping Night Care
Our Sleeping Night service has been designed to promote confidence and independence for those who do not require complex or on-going support throughout the night. Your Sleeping Night Carer will retire to an allocated bedroom once you are settled in bed and be on hand should you need them at any time*.
As part of our Sleeping Night service, our Carers will be able to assist if you wake in the night with getting in and out of bed, toileting, preparing a drink or small snack or just being there to provide the reassurance that you’re not on your own.

Waking Night Care
Our Waking Night service may be more suited to your care needs if you require increased attention throughout the night or you are awake for extended amounts of time.
As part of our Waking Night service, your carer will be awake and alert at all times through the night; on hand for whatever you might require. They will be able to support with all your care needs whether they are complex or social and be available to offer you companionship, assistance with medication and address any safety concerns you may have, offering you complete reassurance at any hour.
Key decisions such as what time you want to start getting ready for bed and what time you feel you are ready to go to sleep are still your own and our Carers will work to what you require with no pressure of time constraints.

A service that changes as you do
We understand that your care requirements may change as your condition improves or deteriorates. As a result we offer a flexible service that can be regularly reviewed and adapted at any time to suit your needs.
It is quite common following a stay in hospital or a change in surroundings or personal circumstances that you’re not going to know exactly what level of support you require during the night. In these cases, we will look to review your care needs over the first few days of your return home and work closely with you and your family to ensure the safest and most appropriate level of care is provided.
